Love your body, Christina Hendricks Does

Best show on TV=Mad Men. It is the most amazing show on television in the past ten years in my humble opinion. It is set back in the early 1960's and the Advertising Age where Men are Men and Woman look like Christina Hendricks. I began watching the show and became seriously obsessed with the fashion on the show, along with the plot line. I am in love with stylish clothes that are so ladylike and hug your body the way clothes are supposed to. I am so thankful for this show and what it has done for fashion. They have brought back pencil skirts, maxi-length dresses, capri pants, cardigans and bathing suits that actually look good on average woman. I have found a couple staple pieces for my wardrobe that I would love to pass on to you. New York and Company has provided such creativty with clothes and their clothes fit amazing on petite to average size women.
The Antique Ruffle Botton Cardigan can be found at http://www.newyorkandcompany.com/ and it retails for $39.95. It comes in a variety of colors. I bought this skirt to wear for a wedding shower and it was so darn cute, I bought a grey one. It is the City Stretch Seamed Knit Pencil Skirt for $32.95. New York and Company are always having sales and they send out a million coupons. For just giving your name at the website you will get 10% off at the store or on-line. It is an affordable store with many great options that fit the average woman's body. Mad Men is a show worth watching for the plot and especially for the fashion!

Banana Blowout

So on my recent trip to Banana Republic during my lunch break at work, I came across the perfect gift for Christmas, a Holiday Party, wedding or everyday bracelet. If you are like me I tend to have a hard time finding jewelery that fits great, while at the same time being fashionable. Most are too tight to fit over my wrist, leaving little breathing room. I first was looking at their cocktail rings (which are gorgeous) but my fingers again are too damn big.
I was browsing in the jewelery case and came across this darling, one of kind Sailor's Knot Bracelet. I am a silver girl for sure, but found this gold one for my mom for Christmas (mom, if you are reading this-act surprised) It is so delicate and pretty that would go great with a pair of jeans and a sweater or you could dress it up with a cocktail dress. It retails for $35.00 at http://www.bananarepublic.com/ If you are silver girl like me there is one for you. It is a great bracelet that doesn't brake the bank and it is a great gift for someone or for yourself.

Love to Banana!

The Best Flat Boot

So when did tights and leggings come back in style. To the fashion guru who brought that back--I would like to say thank you so much (big smile on face). I absolutetly love wearing tights and leggings and what better way to wear them with would be a great flat boot. I was in need of a cute pair to wear to my sister-in-law's rehearsal dinner. My requirments were they had to be comfortable, a boot that would fit the width of my foot and calf and oh yeah affordable.

I found them at http://www.payless.com/ and they are amazing. They are the American Eagle Marley Flat Boot and they are even on sale right now for $19.99. They also carry them through size 10-12 in Wide Width. They come in black or brown suade and are so comfy and cozy. Thank you Payless!

I am new at this, Okay?

Wow--where to begin? I started pondering about something that was missing in my life and it came to me-amazing shoes for big feet gals like me and everything in between. I have made it a mission to find the most amazing shoes for my size 10 wide feet (sometimes 11) depending on what I have ate or drank. Go Figure, right? I have watched countless episodes of Sex and the City and have only dreamed of my big feet fitting into a pair of dropdead gorgeous Monolo Blahnik heels! I guess a girl can dream. Since I was younger, I had had the hardest time finding shoes that fit my feet, shoes that won't give me blisters, make my feet look like sausages stuffed into shoes and achey, sore dogs.
As of right now, I will be looking into finding the right pairs of shoes to fit big girl feet and passing them on to all of you (and everything else I feel like blogging about) I will also be on a mission from God to find great looking outfits and shoes for plus-size women. Let's clarify something first and foremost. I hate the term "plus-size". The average size woman is a size 14/16. Hallelujah!
I am very interested in Photography and enjoying blogging very much...I will be adding anything that I come across and want to share with you...photography, pictures, home goods, recipes and anything else that runs into my head!

Sincerely,
Big Feet Girl
